It’s very Important to understand that Faith is the foundation of Prayer and that the Doers of God’s word shall be saved. The book of James 1:3,22-27 provides the following references:
James 1:3 reads “ Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.”
James 1:22 reads “ But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
James 1:23 reads “ For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass.”
James 1:24 reads “ For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgeteth what manner of man he was.”
James 1:25 reads “ But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
James 1:26 reads “ If any man among you seem to be religious and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.”
James 1:27 reads “ Pure religion and undefiled before God and his Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

Deaconess Cathy Hester- wife of Deacon Henry Hester, mother of 4 and grandmother of 8. It is my pleasure to assist the Pastor with the vision that the Lord has set before him and assist Deacons in keeping order and the spiritual guidance of the church.
As a spiritual leader it is necessary to learn how to stand on God’s word and speak boldly in his name. God has cheerleaders and that’s what we are in the Holy Spirit. It is an honor to have the ability to be a God follower and be recommended to show others as we : visit the sick, assist the bereaved, assist with Baptism, assist with Communion, to be respectful and teach other young ladies. To be good instructors to the youth among other things.
Romans 16:1-2, Paul was instructing the Roman Church to accept Phebe, not because she was popular or a female but because of what she stood for. The word succourer means helper , one who shields others from suffering, goes out to the aid of those in distress.
That’s what Deaconess are in their own right. In 1 Timothy 3:11, Paul stipulates the qualifications of a Deaconess, Mother, and aged Christian woman. Deaconess should have morals, not liars and peace breakers, not drunkards, but faithful in all things. To God first, then Husband and family. If you ever need us please don’t hesitate to contact us.
